Artist's Comments

First of all...

Does anyone want to see a tutorial based on this drawing? If so, let me know.

I really enjoyed coloring this one. It's my first good portrait done with colored pencils. The only thing I don't like are the bubbles, if they even look like soap bubbles. But other than that, I'm satisfied.
I'm really proud of the hair ^^ I wanted to make it colorful and for each section to be different from another but to still fit in. That's why I used only cold colors. And I stylized it a bit so it would be easier to color and stand out more.
I didn't use the natural colors for her skin because I thought it would look more interesting this way and it was a cool way to try out my new set of colored pencils :)

Material:
A3 Van Gogh drawing pad
Koh-I-Noor Mondeluz water-soluble colored pencils
2H pencil, mechanical B pencil
Kneaded eraser, a tissue
Time: Around two weeks, on and off.

Edit: I changed the tittle, this one is more suitable. And I decided to leave the background white.

this is stunning! the colors are so mesmerizing, i am in awe of the softness of the piece. great work on the hair too, it just has a graceful movement to it. this has such a inspiring dreamlike quality. i looked at the original and i am so surprised at your ability to make it look like the reference but add your own unique flare. you should be very proud, i am absolutely in love with it! :D

Thank you very much, I'm glad you loved it :)
Well, the bubbles aren't that great if you look closely. I just think they would look better if there was an actual background. But I decided not to color the background cause then the girl would look weird since it's colored in high contrast.

Aw, thank you very much! You noticed everything I intended to make, the softness, stylized hair and my own addition to the reference. And the bubbles were added for that dream-like look :)
